RICHARD NATTO   GLENN MIYASHIRO
a New York born graduate of Kaimuki High School, sings and plays guitar, keyboards, bass and drums. Richard is the group’s leader and plays a key role in its success. He has many unique musical qualities; he is a gifted composer, arranger and songwriter. He wrote the theme for “Hawaii Stars”  

a graduate of Aiea High School and Leeward Community College . He sings lead vocals and plays trumpet, flugel horn, congas, timbales and guitar. Glenn does some hilarious impressions of Dean Martin, Cher , Kathryn Hepburn, Bob Dylan and others. Glenn is the group's emcee.

JONATHAN A. KAINA   JOHN SALVATERA
a graduate of Lahainaluna High School and Maui Community College. Jonathan handles lead vocals and plays saxophone, drums, guitar and bass. Jonathan has a great voice and usually sings the lead in most of the Broadway showstoppers. He also impersonates Elvis, Tom Jones, James Brown and Ray Charles.  

a native of the Philippines , plays guitar, bass and keyboards. A versatile vocalist known for his jazz, R & B, rock and contemporary stylings. He is capable of uncannily accurate vocal impressions of Stevie Wonder, Sonny Bono, Miss Piggy, Julio Iglesias and others.

FREDDY VON PARAZ   WILLIAM DAQUIOAG
plays drums, percussion, bass, guitar, banjo and keyboards. He has been trained vocally by Neva Rego and Eunice DeMello. Born in Honolulu, he has performed with The Krush, BBC, The New Generation, Triad, Kalapana, Simplicity and Cecilio & Kapono.   a graduate of Castle High School and the University of Northern Colorado majoring in music. William sings and plays keyboards, sax, trumpet and violin. He is the owner/director of The Performing Artists Academy and former vocal teacher for “American Idol” finalist Jasmine Trias.
MIKE DE GUZMAN    
is the newest member of the group. A Honolulu born native and a graduate of Leilehua High school. Early in his career Mike performed with Tino and the Rhythm Klub, Chito’s Express, Hot Stuff and The Greg Hammer Show. Mike is multi-talented. He plays sax, flute, keyboards, bass guitar and has a nice singing voice.

Multi-talented musician Matt Cartingub wears many hats: Saxophonist, Woodwind Artist, Conductor, Pianist, Vocalist, Performer, Composer and Arranger. Born March 25, 1961 to parents of Polynesian Island descent Matt likes to refer to himself as a "Pacific Island Mutt".

Jimmy Borges   Alaka'i
When it comes to jazz traditions, there's probably no more dedicated curator than singer Jimmy Borges. In fact, he's been called "The Keeper of the Flame".  Borges does one thing best - keep the Great American Songbook alive and fresh.
 
The Morning Goddess: Maui's #1 morning show, weekday mornings. As Program Director, Alaka'i provides listeners music by Hawaiians, made in Hawaii, or in the Hawaiian language. She welcomes all artists and chooses music on its merits, not affiliations. "Booty", "Pakalolo" or "Gangsta" Hawaiian music is not tolerated. She says, "Our children have enough to worry about. We keep it positive."
     
Karen Keawehawaii   Melveen Leed
She's a mom, a grandma, a proud Hawaiian, and a talented and beloved entertainer.
 
Affectionately known as "da tita", Melveen is a multi-talented and beautiful singer, songwriter, and composer. Her new CD entitled "Listen to my Voice" out March 19.
     
Neva Rego   Mike Buck
Voice coach to the stars, Neva has operated her Bel Canto School of Singing since1980. A longtime friend of Hawaii Stars, Neva delivers valuable insights to all the contestants she judges.
 
Talk radio veteran Mike Buck has spent years broadcasting in Hawaii, California, Australia,  Washington and Alaska, with experiences as a morning show host, Program Director, Executive Producer and host for weekly TV shows such as "Portraits of Paradise." You can listen to Mike Monday-Friday 3  to 7 pm on NewsRadio 830 KHVH.
