Tell us about your family:
I grew-up in a very loving and close-knit family. My maternal mother (and a single parent), Delilah Pua`ala Mokuahi, passed away several years ago. I love and miss her alot, but have been blessed in that my mother's sister, Shevon, and her husband, Joe, adopted me when I was three years old. They are my ""rock"", and I love them very much. I have a beautiful little sister, Victoria-Kamalani (""Tori""). She's an outstanding person, student, hula dancer, and violinist. My grandparents, Moses and Lorraine Mokuahi, are also a very important part of my life, and I love them immensely. Another family supporter is my Uncle Moki. In my book, he is a Hawaii Star. Talk about a voice, my uncle is totally blessed in this regard and can definitely ""blow (sing)"".

What high school did you go to?
In May 2000, I graduated from the Hanalani Schools.

Where do you work and what do you do at your job?
Currently, I am a Security Guard with Star Protection Agency, Inc. Prior to this job I worked (for three years) as an Assistant Manager/Cook at the Pasta Italia Restaurant in the Waikele Shopping Center.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?
When I'm not working, I love to write song lyrics and sing. I also enjoy spending time (hanging out, talking story, singing, bonding, eating.) with my family and friends..

What goals do you have for your life?
My short-term goal, in addition to working, is to pursue a singing and acting career. I have a deep-rooted passion to sing, and to record my music. I hope Hawaii Stars will be my springboard to attaining this goal. In terms of my long-range goals, I plan to achieve job and financial security, own a home in Hawaii, get married and start a family.

What motivated you to enter Hawaii Stars?
For several years, my family strongly encouraged me to enter Hawaii Stars. I wanted to but was too busy working. Nevertheless, my family told me that if "singing" is what I want to do, I needed to try other musical venues of opportunity. Accordingly, I auditioned for American Idol this past September, and was fortunate enough to make it to the second round at the Sheraton Waikiki. Although I was extremely disappointed that I didn't make it to Hollywood, the experience was well worth it. Plus, I was able to connect with many aspiring Hawaii singers such as Jonah Moananu, Sam Kapu, Jr., and others. My participation in Hawaii Stars is just another opportunity to gain experience and exposure, connect with other singers, share my singing talent with the people of Hawaii, and possibly attain a recording contract.

What do you hope for the most out of being on Hawaii Stars?
Ultimately, I hope to attain a recording contract. Short of this, I plan to use any and all opportunities to nurture and improve my singing abilities and stage persona. I also hope to make and maintain lifelong friendships with the other contestants who share the same passion for singing as I do.
